Lions To Play 4 Games In 4 Days

Thursday evening saw your Halifax Lions play the first of four games of the weekend, against the Miramichi TimberwolvesAlthough, it was an action-packed game, the T-wolves managed to squeeze a win out of the Lions in the last few seconds of the game.
All fans were on the edge of their seats until the very end of the game.
John MacDonald led the Lions' scoring with two goals, and opened the scoring at 19:17 of the first period to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.
There was no scoring in the second period.
The T-wolves scored at 4:04 of the third period to tie the game at 1-1. and then scored 1:03 later at 5:07 to give the Timberwolves the lead at 2-1. Wayne Bedecki scored 20 seconds after that at 5:27 to knot the score at 2-2. Miramichi scored 1:51 later to retake the lead.. MacDonald replied 31 seconds later to deadlock the game at 3-3. Jesse MacIntyre netted the game winner for the Timberwolves at 19:46 for the win.
The Lions are on the road on Friday (Yarmouth) and Saturday (Amherst) and return to the Forum on Sunday at 6:30pm to face the Dieppe Commandos.
On Tuesday January 12th, the Lions play the Pictou County Weeks Crushers at 7pm at the Forum, in their very first match-up of the season.
