Lions Play Pictou County Weeks Crushers Tonight At The Forum

For the first time this year, the Halifax Lions play the Pictou County Weeks Crushers.

Game time is 7pm.

The Crushers have just finished loading up with a number of new aquisitions during the trade period, while the Halifax Lions have decided to continue with most of is core group, after losing 4 players to the QMJHL during the Christmas break.

Two new players will be in the Lions' lineup during this evening's game.

Jordan Kenny and Matthew Fortune will be joining the Lions on the blue line.

Kenny played last season for the Dieppe Commandos, while Fortune joins the Lions after spending the first part of the season with the Gatineau Olympiques.

As an interesting side note, Matt Fortune will be facing his older brother, Ryan, who plays with the Crushers.
